Our Sunshine Coast Bicycle User Group is making traction with their Safe Cycling advocacy work. Please join our BUG to ensure you are kept up to date with the latest news. Here's a snip from their first Traction Newsletter.

SCBUG is involved in a range of projects across the Sunshine Coast, from major transport infrastructure to the correction of individual safety hazards. Our involvement is focused on ensuring that active transport is properly incorporated into major projects, closing gaps in the existing network, mitigating known risks to vulnerable road users, and contributing to longer-term transport planning.

Active Transport Plan 2026 Endorsed: The Sunshine Coast Council has officially endorsed the Active Transport Plan 2026. This plan directly targets filling the "missing links" in our bike networks and prioritizes infrastructure for local trips under 5km. This gives us a massive policy benchmark to hold Council accountable to over the coming months.
