Warwick to Crows Nest – 4-Day Touring Taster Ride

Nine members joined a four-day touring taster ride from Warwick to Crows Nest, superbly organised by Alex Bennett. Alex shared his experience and positive guidance throughout the trip, helping make it both enjoyable and well-coordinated.

With Lisa providing wonderful support in the sag wagon, the group tackled hot gravel roads and plenty of hills with determination and good humour. Despite the heat, the camaraderie stayed strong — and the scenic views made every kilometre worthwhile.

Day 1: Warwick to Clifton

46km and 469m climbing

Day 2: Clifton to Pittsworth:

64km and 504m climbing

Melbourne Cup so Mary organised fascinators and bow ties. Alex and Lisa prepared a yummy Continental breakfast - table cloths and all.

Day 3: Pittsworth to Oakey

50km and 370m climbing

Day 4: Oakey to Crows Nest

62km and 700m climbing

We made it!
